About Emmanuel Patterson:

I am Emmanuel Patterson. I am a filmmaker/multi-media artist from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I work in both Documentary and Narrative film types, but I am always open to experimentation in any project I work on. My documentary work is typically expository and essayistic, but I strive to constantly find and experiment with new ways to engage the audience with my films. My documentary work aims to relay information and evoke feelings primarily through narration and visuals. Similarly, I carry my visual approach and skills into his narrative work. Outside of Filmmaking, I work in various mediums including music, photography, web-based art, etc. I am consciously and constantly looking for and experimenting with new and effective ways to capture an audience's attention and to convey story, information, and most importantly, feeling.
